Q. What safety measures are being taken for the public and staff?

Answer

All BCLS staff members are undergoing temperature checks prior to coming to work each day. Staff members have been outfitted with the appropriate PPE, gloves and masks, which will be worn when handing any library materials. Staff are required to frequently wash hands during their shifts and all library buildings are undergoing deep cleaning daily. All library materials that are returned will be quarantined for four days before being added back into our collection and available to public. Finally, our curbside service will be contact-less, meaning no customer and/or staff member should have any contact.

Customers arriving for Computer Reservations will have their temperatures taken. Customers with temperatures 100.4 or over will not be permitted in the building. Customers are asked to practice safe social distancing and to wear a properly affixed mask at all times while in the Library.

Computer use is subject to the BCLS Internet and Computer Use Policy except where superseded by the COVID-19 Temporary Policy.
