How can I pay fines on my account so I can use library services?

Answer

Your library account fine balance must be below $10 to checkout library materials. You have three options to pay fines on your account:

  • Visit any of our branches to pay your fines in person during open hours.
  • Call the Burlington County Library or the Evesham Library to pay by credit card over the phone.
  • Checks may also be mailed to the Burlington County Library and should be made payable to the Burlington County Library System. Once the check is received the customer account will be credited.

Please note: as part of our journey back to normal operating procedures, we will reinstate fees for overdue materials. Fines will begin to accrue on Jan. 20. Please be assured that all returned materials will continue to be placed in quarantine for four days before being put back into circulation, but will be backdated to reflect actual return dates. Ex: If an item is due on 1/21 and returned on that day in one of our bookdrops, it will be quarantined, and may appear as overdue on your account during that time. But once quarantine ends, it will be listed as checked in on 1/21 and you will have no fines on your account. If it is returned on 1/22, you will accrue fines for only one day.
